Daylesford and Hepburn Springs are the heart of spa country – The region is known for its natural mineral springs, local produce, gourmet food and wine. Whether you’re staying for a day or a week, there are plenty of day spas, restaurants, galleries, wineries, shops and markets for you to explore!
We thought it would be nice to put together a list of all the places we regularly enjoy in Daylesford and Hepburn Springs. As new places pop up we try them out, and if they’re good enough for our guests, we add them to the list. There is lots more than just this short list of things to do in the area, so don’t hesitate to go exploring and find your own hidden gems!
Open 8am daily. About halfway down the main strip in Daylesford at 57A Vincent St.
Great food and coffee, awesome deli items too like jams.
Open 6pm – late on Thu – Mon & 12pm – 3pm on Fri – Sun. 32 Raglan St, Daylesford.
Fantastic Italian inspired menu using local and Australian produce.
ARGUS DINING ROOM
Open 12pm – 3pm & 6pm – 10pm. Literally just over the road!
A beautiful restaurant with an interesting menu and a great wine selection.
Open 4pm – 1am daily. Four minutes walk away at 70 Main Rd.
Rubens is known for its pizza and pasta.
BLUE BEAN LOVE CAFÉ
Open 8am – 9pm daily. Literally just over the road!
Cheap big meals makes this place great for breakfast or lunch.

WINE AND THE COUNTRY
Open 11am – 8pm-ish daily. 97 Vincent Street, Daylesford.
A cool little wine store with tastings, food, and wine you won’t find elsewhere.
DAYLESFORD SUNDAY MARKET
Open 8am – 3pm on Sun. 18 Raglan Street, Daylesford.
Full of fresh and local produce, from dog treats to soaps and hats.
Open 7am – 10pm daily. Albert St & Bridport St, Daylesford Shopping Centre.
Just like every other Coles, head there only if you miss big city stuff.

A great lavender farm with a café that serves food with lavender in them and a shop full of unique lavender products.
It’s a lake, it’s always open! Leggatt Street, Daylesford.
Lake Daylesford is a lovely peaceful lake that you can sit by and walk around. Very nice to stroll in the later hours, but don’t forget mozzie spray.
HEPBURN LAGOON TRAIL RIDES

Horse riding just out of Daylesford, there are a variety of interesting rides you can go on.

A number of signposted walks fan out from Hepburn Mineral Springs Reserve all of varying distances.
